The Visual RetrievalWare APRP™ engine "learns" patterns in the shapes, colors and textures of visual data, reducing it to a searchable index which is typically less than 10% of the size of the original files. Users can then submit queries using examples of known visual data or visual clues created with a graphical application. The same learning process is performed on query images and a hit list of similar or exact matches is returned.
The Visual RetrievalWare™ Software Developers Kit (SDK) provides C and C++ programmers with a general purpose image retrieval engine and a comprehensive image processing library that includes tools for analyzing, indexing, and retrieving digital images based on their color, shape, and texture.
